This coming weekend marks the 33rd annual Group Health Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic. We want you to join our BicyclingHub.com team, as we pedal the route! Coupled with Portland Pedal Power,
we will be making the trek, supporting you, and, as always, working to
make YOU happy! Our goal is to reach roughly 2,000 riders this weekend,
passing out coupons to BicyclingHub.com and FREE Chamois Butt'r.
It's forecasted to be an amazing weekend - hot weather, clear, and just
perfect for riding!! JOIN US in the blue skies and the outdoor gem of
the Pacific Northwest!
As one of the 10 largest recreational rides in the nation and THE biggest multi-day ride in the Northwest, the Seattle to Portland ride attracts up to 10,000 cyclists, rolling over the beautiful 200 miles of scenic valleys and farmland between western Washington and Oregon.
The iconic, community supported ride began in 1979 as a race between the two cities. As time went on, the ride developed into a more recreational event, with 85% of cyclists enjoying the scheduled route over the course of two days. This year, from Saturday, July 14 - Sunday, July 15, the Washington and Oregon communities will wrangle together in order to pull off the ride, serving as the major fundraiser for the Cascade Bicycle Club and furthering their mission: To Create a Better Community through Bicycling.
